Presents from "Aunt" Caity

We received a package on the porch today and it was full of wonderful presents for the kids. I got pictures of Rylee with her new shoes, and pictures of the other presents are to come. Caity got Nolan an incredibly soft and comfy blanket - he is asleep in bed with it now. Then she got Rylee these Converse and a cute tutu! We are so grateful and thankful for the presents!

My Afternoon

This afternoon Rylee woke up from her nap so sweet, and luckily I had a camera in hand. She was being so cute and all she wanted was for me to take her picture, so I did. After we took some of her we took one of Nolan napping!

"Take A Picture"

Rylee is obsessed with being by her brother, holding him, helping him play, and pretty much just him, but the cutest thing is every time she is next to him lately she tell me to "take a picture." These are a two of the pictures I took on such occasions. The first one is so funny because he is screaming and she is so excited, but they are almost pulling the same facial expression! The second one is the two of them just playing on the play-mat together.

"No-No, Happy Boy"

I finally got this on tape!! She must say this a thousands times a day it is just a matter of catching it. Hope you enjoy, it sure makes us smile!

Easter Dress

Every year Grandma Michelle makes Rylee an Easter Dress, and she always does an awesome job. Last year I put in a request, but this year Grandma said she already had the dress picked out for Rylee! It came in the mail last week, and it is so darn cute and fits Rylee great. Thank you for another cute dress Grandma!!

Just Nolan

This little boy was so cute playing on his blanket while Rylee was at My Gym this morning, that I could not help but snap a few pictures of the cutie!

The Driving Range

Saturday evening was a really nice night, so we headed over to the driving range to hit some golf balls. We had a great time for about 3 minutes, and then the sun set!! It got so cold so fast, we felt so bad to have the kids outside. Nolan was really happy at first, because we were sitting in the car, but once we got out he got fussy. Rylee tried to take care of him and make him "happy" but it just wasn't working. After about 15 minutes total we were packed up and headed back home, hopefully our next trip will last a little longer.

More My Gym

Rylee is in love with My Gym, she asks to go everyday and we do. We have gone to three classes already this week, and we are going again tomorrow. She has made best friends with a little girl there named Maddi, and the two of them ask about each other all the time. Rylee asked me today if Maddi would be at class today, and luckily she was. Maddi's mom told me today that Maddi asked where Rylee was yesterday when they were just at home, so cute. Rylee loves all of the teachers and knows all of them by name, she starts yelling there name from the car when she sees them through the window in the parking lot. She had a lot of fun today, here are some pictures.

Doing a backwards roll with Miss Easter (yes her name really is Easter)

Clapping for herself after she finished her gymnastics

Riding the train, she loved this!

Doing a pike on the ring/trapeze bar (she actually pulled her own
legs all the way up today with no help from Miss Chelsea!)

Hanging from the ring. This was the expression she
made every time. Today was the first time she lifted her
feet up and was swinging! She looks so concerned.

Nolan Laughing

Okay, so his laugh sounds a bit painful, but I promise it is his laugh. This is the video that I thought we had lost the other night, for some reason it showed up today in the file - I won't complain! :)

Forgot to Post This . . . The Dentist

About a month ago I called a friend, who is a dentist, and asked if I could bring Rylee in for a check up. I told him she had been complaining about a tooth hurting and I just wanted to get it looked at. He was so great and had me bring her up to the office right then. She was amazing!! She sat there and let him poke around and never even cried! He saw a cavity on the tooth she said was hurting, so we set up an appointment to go back. Last Monday we went back to get the tooth fixed, and this is a picture from that day; however, we got worse news that day. After Dr. Drury took a closer look at the tooth and her other 12 month molars he noticed her molars formed with no enamel, so there is nothing to protect the teeth. The tooth he was going to fix has to have a silver crown put on it!! The other three did not form all the way, so he will shave them so they are shaped properly and then put a sealant on them. She has to have anesthetic and then he will to all the work. He is also going to X-Ray the entire mouth to make sure there are no other problems and see if her 24 month molars are there, because they have not come in yet. I figure this is supposed to be a humbling experience for me, because I am extremely vain about teeth, and to have my little girl have a silver cap - ugh it is horrible! Luckily it is in the back and we caught it early enough that it is only one of the molars, but still! She will have the appointment on May 6th, so wish us luck!

3 Months Old

Nolan is three months old today and gets bigger every day! He has just started laughing, it's a deep chuckle, and it is so cute. Matt is the only one who can get him to laugh, but I don't mind watching! I recorded a video and for some reason it did not transfer, and of course I cleared my memory card ugh, so we will record it again tomorrow. I had to move the straps up on his car seat today, just realized they needed to move, and I probably should have done in 3 weeks ago! Nolan is sleeping great, and I know because I am saying this he won't tonight! He sleeps a 7 hour stretch at night and then eats and goes back down for 2-3 more hours. He is not on a nap schedule yet, and I am really trying to get him on a schedule -- so hopefully soon. I am going to start him on rice cereal early, probably tomorrow, because he is always hungry. He had an 8 ounce bottle today and then ate again 3 hours later, so hopefully rice cereal will help fill him up for a little longer. He and Rylee are still best buddies. Her favorite thing to do is get right next to him and talk in a "baby talk" voice and say, "Hi No-No, you happy boy!" It makes me smile every time.

Cupcake Fun

When Grandma Kathi was here at Christmas time she got me this really cute calendar that has a cupcake to make for each month, so Rylee and I made the March cupcake last night. We had so much fun. She helped me pour the ingredients, she put the cupcake papers in the pans, we stirred together, she poured a few cupcakes by herself, and then of course we decorated. Her favorite part was licking the bowl and measuring cup. At first she wanted nothing to do with it because it was messy, but once we got her to taste it she was all for licking everything. They did not turn out perfect because we frosted them warm, oh and Rylee was helping frost, but she was a mess from head to toe and we sure had a lot of fun.

She's Got This Big Sister Thing Down

This afternoon after Nolan's nap Rylee wanted to give him a bottle. Normally she struggles with holding it in the right place or she pushes the bottle in to far, but today she was awesome. She concentrated so hard to make sure he was getting food, she even placed her baby doll under her arm so her arm did not get tired. I only had to help her two times with adjusting the bottle, and she gave him a 5 ounce bottle! I sure hope she continues to be so good at doing bottles, because I got quite a few things done while the two of them were hanging out.

The Zoo with Grandpa Rick

Before Grandpa Rick had to catch his flight we made a stop at the zoo. We had so much fun. The weather was terrific and the kids were all so well behaved. Here are a few pictures from the day:

Ball Car Fun

Rylee and Grandpa had a very fun afternoon together. I was downstairs listening to the two of them play and all I could hear was giggles from both of them, it was so cute. When they first went upstairs to play Rylee climbed in the ball car and when Grandpa touched her they shocked each other, so Grandpa started calling her "Sparky!" When Grandpa went downstairs to get his camera Rylee yelled, "Bye, Sparky!" We all had a good laugh at that one. The two of them were having so much fun I had to go up to take some pictures and I found them playing a new game. Rylee was sitting in her ball car and Grandpa was poking his head in the back window and then Rylee would throw a ball at him. Grandpa said that she was pretty accurate, she would hit him in the nose at least 60% of the time! I even got a picture with the ball hitting him on the nose to prove it :)! Grandpa really liked what the ball car did to Rylee's hair, so I had to get a picture of the crazy hair too!

Grandpa Rick

We were very lucky to have Grandpa Rick come into town this weekend. This afternoon he came with us to a birthday party and he and Rylee were great buddies. All of the kids at the party received a treat bag, and Rylee and Grandpa had a great time eating the treats together. She started with a cupcake, then had some Cheetos (she is her father's daughter), then out came the sucker, and it ended with some Laffy Taffy! I think her messy face shows how much fun they had together this afternoon.

This evening Nolan was a little fussy with an upset stomach, but Grandpa got him settled down by sitting him up and watching a soccer game together. Then within five minutes of sitting on Grandpa's lap Nolan was sound asleep.

We are sure excited for more fun times tomorrow!

"My Gym"

We started Rylee in a new gymnastics class and it is so great. The previous place was not what I was hoping for, and My Gym has been a good change for us. She can go to unlimited classes every month, so we average four a week. There is structure to each class, song time, a puppet show, and then free play. These pictures of her were taken the other night at there Free Play Night. She loves going and even asks me each morning if we get to go to "Rye-Rye's Gym!" Another great feature is with our membership for Rylee, Nolan gets free classes up to six months, so he had his first class today.
