A Very Fun Trip

Rylee and I made it home from our trip to California and we had so much fun! We played with our cousins, Aunts and Uncles, and Grandma and Papa. This is our last trip before the baby comes, so we had to soak up as much playtime as we possible. To see our adventures scroll down.

Victory

On Saturday Grandpa invited me to play in a client's golf tournament with him, and I was a little hesitant but I had a great time. I was supposed to be the ringer for the group, the pregnant lady will always deceive people! This was my first real golf tournament that I played in, and it ended very well. Our group won the golf tournament and I won the longest drive for the ladies! I won two trophies, a cash prize, and even a new golf bag for our Daddy! Hopefully I played well enough to get to play in another tournament with Grandpa because we had a good time!

Pool with Bryson

Rylee and Bryson have so much fun playing together, it is so fun to watch. The two of them just run around together non-stop screaming and laughing! We made it through two play dates with no incidents, amazing for a 2 and a 3 year old. They spent about a half hour in the pool with Papa while we were in California and they had to do everything together. If Bryson would get out and run around, Rylee had to get out. Bryson had on floaties, so Rylee had to have floaties. Rylee wanted Papa to hold her, Bryson had to have Papa hold him too. The two of them are such good buddies!

Kami and Wyatt

On Monday night we had the chance to go spend some time with Kami and Wyatt. Rylee and Kami played Rye's favorite game spin, while Rylee gave Wyatt lots of love. We cannot wait to go play with cousins again.

Hot Tub With Papa

The swimming pool was a little cold unless you went at the hottest time of the day, but Papa and Rylee spent lots of fun time in the hot tub. This was the first time that Rylee liked the bubbles on in the hot tub, so every time she got in she would ask Papa for "bubbles"!

Apple Hill

Going to Apple Hill has become sort of a tradition for Rylee, Grandma and I. Yes, she is only 2, but this was her third year in a row to go up there. This year was a lot of fun with her because she was so interested in everything. The best part of Apple Hill is the treats, and Rylee sure enjoyed all of them. She licked the caramel off of her caramel apple, she ate two-thirds of a big piece of fudge, and then she still ended up with a cookie! She was very interested in looking at the ponies, but had no desire to go on the pony ride. We cannot wait to do it again next year, but this time with our baby brother too.

Favorite Drawer

On Saturday morning Grandma babysat Rylee while I played in a golf tournament with Grandpa, and Rylee found a very fun drawer at Grandma's house - the silverware drawer. She would stand on the bench at the kids table and unload the entire drawer and then reload it. Rylee played in the drawer every day we were there, thank you Grandma for your patience!

Spinning

This evening Rylee was entertaining us by spinning around until she got so dizzy she would stumble and fall over, and then do it again. I was dizzy watching her go, but she had a great time. She spun around in the family room for about 20 minutes and provided great entertainment for all of us.

Kami's Birthday Party

We were so lucky to be in town again this year for Kami's 7th birthday. She had a really fun party at the park, and Rylee had a blast. The park had a water play area and Rylee had never been to one of these! We do not have one close to our house, and I wish we did now. Rylee had a blast just running around by herself in the water. Kami played with her for a bit too, but she could have played in there all day by herself I think.

Daddy's Shoes and Socks

This evening after Daddy got home from work, Rylee thought she should try on Daddy's shoes and socks. Daddy was on the phone with Grandma and I was sitting next to him, and all of the sudden Daddy was laughing. I looked over and saw his ankle socks pulled up past her knees and his shoes on her feet, she was so proud.

Reorganizing the Pantry

When we got home from the zoo this afternoon Rylee decided it would be fun to reorganize my pantry. She moved all of my soups from one place to the another, and then back again. The one picture is a bit blurry, but it shows how tall she is starting to get.

A Day at the Zoo

This afternoon was great weather, so Rylee and I took the opportunity to go to the zoo. She was a riot. She walked the entire two hours we were there. She got to go on the train ride and the new carousel, both of which she wanted to do "more, peas!" We looked at every animal at the zoo and if she couldn't see them in the cage she would turn around and tell me they were sleeping, "shhh, Mommy dey sleep!" The two of us had so much fun together, I just followed he around all afternoon amazed at how big she is getting.

Thank You Granna and Double G

Granna and Double G made this adorable tutu for Rylee and we just got it in the mail today. She was asleep when it came and then we had to run some errands this evening, so before bed tonight we tried in on. It is absolutely adorable, and Rylee loved it! She was walking around saying, "cute, cute", and then she would spin in a circle. I think the verdict is that she LOVES IT. Thank you so much Granna and Double G for this special present.

"I WIN!"

When we were sleep training Rylee, Matt and I started referring to her falling asleep as us winning! It has now sort of become a saying we say here and there for things that a two year old and her parents battle, and generally the parents win. Today was our first nap in our new bed, and she was not having it. But, with some perseverance and placing her back in her bed only four times I won. We will get official pictures of the new bed when the room is finished. We still need a dresser and to rearrange the walls, but the pictures will come quickly.

Resting

This afternoon I had a doctors appointment, so I had to push Rylee's nap until after the appointment. She was starting to get sleepy about twenty minutes before we needed to go and she wanted to watch "Puppy", so I let her rest on the couch. She was so sweet just hanging out on the couch with her drink and stuffed animals.

Pure Sass

I think the picture explains it all!

Fall Golf

While it isn't officially Fall yet, our weather has sure made it feel that way. We have had great golf weather all week, and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to take Rylee out again. She was a riot this evening. Neither of us could hit a ball without her running up and trying to help us or she would steal our ball! We only played 6 holes, but it probably took two hours because she had so much fun playing on every hole. She would help putt, play in the sand traps, go exploring, and practice her own golf shot! We had a lot of fun this evening.

"Puppy"

While Rylee doesn't like real puppies, she is obsessed with Buster. Buster is on the TV show "My Friends Tigger and Pooh!" You would think he has a lead role in the show with how he talks about her, but no he is just it in the background. She has finally learned a few of the other characters names, but she really could careless about them. Today we were at the store and they had a Buster stuffed animal, and I could not resist getting it for her. She has taken him everywhere, and it was the first thing she showed Daddy when he got home. If she ever asks you for puppy, just turn on the Disney Channel and find the only show she watches.

Who Knew?

The dryer has become Rylee's favorite toy in the house! She takes her toys and puts them in and then pulls them out, and does this over and over again all day! She loves it. Up until tonight she had not tried to climb in the dryer though, but she figured that out this evening. She couldn't reach something so she thought she would climb in. Next thing I know she is screaming, "Mommy, I stuck." I looked over, hurried and grabbed the camera, and then rescued my little girl. This picture is after she had started to get down by herself, before both legs were in the dryer and all I saw was little bum sticking out.

Carwash Helper

This evening Rylee helped me wash the car, and she had a blast. She was soaked from head to toe from spraying the car by herself and from soaking in the soap bucket. After a fun time cleaning the car, she found her sidewalk chalk and colored until it got too cold, so we headed inside.

"Mommy Down!"

For those who do not know, I am a bit of a clumsy person! So, add some extra weight to the front of my body and I tend to get even less graceful. This morning I was trying to hurry and throw on some shorts to run down stairs and get a few things out of the car, but in my rush I lost my balance. I was standing on one foot and I caught my toe in the waistband of my shorts, and I tipped-over in ultra slow motion. Rylee looked over and laughed, and Daddy said, "Oh no, Mommy Down!" Rylee yelled it back with a laugh. I hurried down stairs and when I came back up she had Daddy laughing so hard, because she had started reenacting my fall. Here is a repeat performance. (Side Note: At the end of the video Daddy is watching a cycling race and this is how Rye 'cheers' the riders, "Go,Go,Go!")

24 Weeks

I promised Aunt Erica a picture of my baby belly, to make her teeny little belly feel better! I have just started my 24th week/6 month, and this little boy is the most active wild baby. Laura was sweet enough to snap a picture of my belly before the storm blew in the other day at the park.

Little Road-Tripper

On our drive home last night we tried out some head-phones on Rylee, but her little ears were too small. She thought it was really cool and you could tell she felt all grown up, but they just wouldn't stay in! We didn't mind listening though because she was watching The Jungle Book, one of Daddy's favorites.
Honestly, she is the most amazing little traveler. Over 55 flights in her 2 years, and 4,500 miles in the car just this past month alone, she's been hilarious the entire time.

Tool Bench

Rylee loves to build, we learned this weekend! From the minute we got to Mark and Laura's until we left she was always playing with Trevor's Tool Bench. She would hammer, drill, saw, and she figured out how to twist the screws in and out! Five feet away was a kitchen set that we don't think she touched all weekend. Enjoy the second picture, that is her new sassy face she pulls at me to be funny!

Playing With Kylie

Rylee had a great time "helping" Kylie do everything this weekend. She would bring her toys, take her binkie just to give it back to her, help her with her shoes, and even share snacks with her. Kylie used to be called "baby," but on this trip Rylee finally figured out how to say Kylie and Ky-Ky! On Sunday she followed Trevor around and played with him a lot too, but I didn't get a picture of the two buddies playing together.
