Peek-A-Boo

Rylee is starting to learn how to play peek-a-boo with us, it is so fun. This video is her and daddy playing on Christmas day, they played for about 10 minutes. - k

Christmas Pictures

These are a few of the pictures we took during Christmas. We were too excited to take pictures, but Grandma's camera has lots of pictures for us. Rylee had a great time playing with some of her new toys, playing with daddy, snuggling Grandpa (and Grandma), and taking a nap with me. What a great trip we had, we will share more pictures later. - k

Christmas Eve Entertainment

For those of you who don't know Cousin Alyssa, she is typically quite shy. But she was our entertainment on Christmas Eve. This is one of her many many songs that she entertained us all with. She practiced this one many times that day and was ready to go. Her other melodies were, "Once there was a Snow Man" and "Twinkle Twinkle" pronounced "Crinkle Crinkle!" She also made up several of her own songs, but this is the cutest! .... Christmas Photos will follow. They are on Grandma Michelle's Camera--we were too busy unwrapping to get the camera out! - k

Christmas Toy

Rylee got an endless selection of new toys, but her favorite is the red ring from her stacker.

Eating with Daddy

Rylee gets so fussy if you try to put her to bed without her solids, it is one of her favorite times of the day.

Family Christmas

Since we will be leaving for California on Wednesday, we had family Christmas tonight. Many of you won't believe this but we really did wait until today to open presents, a new world record in our family. Rylee got a lot of toys, a very cute outfit from Granna and Grandpa, and lots of other fun things. Our real present was our new computer, but Matt also got the nice sweater he has on, some treats and Talladega Nights DVD. I got a really cute hat from Rye and a Seat Saver for the car to protect it from the car seat. - k

Snowy House

Well every blog posting doesn't have to be about Rylee, we can put other things on too. These are some pictures of our house after a day of snow! Matt and I both learned a few things about shoveling snow today, a whole new experience for the Texan and Californian. Rylee wasn't a whole lot of fun in the snow quite yet, but watching the other kids up and down the neighborhood was fun. We have snowmen, snow forts and snow balls fights all over the place! In total I would say we have close to a foot out there and it is still coming. - k

Good Book

Needless to say this book was a bit slobbery after Rylee got done with it.

Exersaucer Video

Exersaucer Time

Rylee played in her Exersaucer for over an hour this morning, she loves it! She talked to all of her toys, kicked her legs, and hit the toys non-stop. It was just too cute. I figure this is the best workout for her since she isn't mobile yet, we need to work off a few calories a day. :) - k

Santa

Rylee was trying to suck up to Santa by being extra cute for him. She thought if she was extra nice she would get even more presents from him! Silly girl! - k

Christmas Photos

We went to get Rylee's Christmas picture taken yesterday, and wow what an experience that was. The last two times we did pictures she was great, but this time we threw a major temper tantrum the entire time. We tried and tried everything to get smiles, but this is the only one she gave us. Then we went and saw Santa and she was so excited, she loved Santa and had lots of smiles for him. I will have to scan that one in for you all to see. - k

Satisfied

Rylee was enjoying a tasty serving of prunes this evening, when I think she got full. She started getting a little glazed over but she opened for another bite, so I scooped up a spoonful and stuck it in her mouth. Once it was in she closed her mouth and at the same time the eyes went shut. She was out for about 30 minutes in her high chair. Just so you know I had already wiped her face once. She also likes to help mommy by taking her bib and rubbing it all over. She is so helpful! - k

Family Photos

Sorry we have not updated the blog in about two weeks, we have been out of town. We had a great Thanksgiving trip and we will share it with you soon. Here are a couple from our camera from our family photo shoot, the rest will be coming shortly. - k

Sitting with Dad

Rylee is getting so big. She is starting to sit so well. She is still a little top heavy, but as long as she is propped against something she can sit and hold her head great. She and Matt practice sitting every night and she loves the time she gets to spend with him. - k

Yummy Food

Rylee had her four month check up last week, and she is healthy and doing great. She weighed 14 pounds 8 ounces (60th percentile) and was 24 inches (26th percentile). She also gets to start solids, rice cereal first and then some vegetables. She just loves sitting in her big girl high chair and eating with a spoon. She has had cereal for three days now, and she is doing so well she even got some carrots last night. It is fun to watch all the silly faces she makes as she tries new things. She is just getting more fun every day. - k

First Trip to the Golf Course

Rylee may not know this yet, but this was her first trip of many to the golf course. Matt and Uncle Jason went to play at Serrano, so Grandma, Rylee and I tagged along for a little bit. Rylee had fun watching Daddy tee off and driving the cart with Grandma. It was a little to chilly to stay long but we had a fun time. - k

Playing with Grandma

It is Grandma's Birthday today and Rylee went and got her some balloons and a present. After Grandma opened her present, a new workout suit to bike-ride in, she and Rylee played and played. Sitting in Grandpa's chair, Rylee would start on Grandma's chest and then roll to one side or the other and then look up at Grandma and smile like, 'hey look what I did.' It was too cute. - k

Hot Tub

I think we need to invest in one of these. Grandma took Rylee to the hot tub with Alyssa, Trevor and Uncle Mark, and when they got out she crashed for the night. It was wonderful. - k

Grandma Michelle

Everyone wanted to play with Grandma the other night, so she let them all climb out! Bryce had been playing in the pantry (one of his favorite things to do) and found the Cheerios, so they got to come in the picture too. - k

Silly Cousins

After a full day of silly Bryce, Rylee spent the whole night with Cousin Trevor and Cousin Alyssa. The two of them just love her so much, it is fun to see them play with her. They spent the night with Grandma too, so Grandma's house was the place to be with three grandchildren, lucky Grandma. Rylee had fun playing with the two of them! - k

Apple Hill

Cousin Bryson and Rylee had a great time at Apple Hill. Cousin Bryce was so fun to watch run around and get into everything, a glimpse at next year at Apple Hill for me with Rylee! We had fun buying apple pies, caramel apples and yummy fudge! - K

4 month photo

Rylee went and got lots of pictures today with her cousins and then some by herself. She was very well behaved--she and Alyssa were definitely the most behaved! :) Those two boys are so much fun! - k

First Halloween

Rylee had fun on her first Halloween. We played at home, went shopping, and went trick-or-treating at the mall and I think the mall wore her out! After that she came home and helped me pass out Halloween candy, then we went over to our friends house and played even more. I think we had the cutest pea-pod in the world. - k
