Sleepover

Last night Rylee spent the night at Bryson's house, so Nolan and Wyatt had a sleepover at Grandma's house. It was full of swimming, playing cars, going on golf cart rides, and watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates. They are having so much fun together!

Birthday Photos

Last week we got Rylee's pictures done for her birthday, and she looked adorable.  This is one of my favorite things to do, I love getting their pictures taken yearly and seeing how they have changed.  Here are a few to share:

Rylee's Birthday

We were still in Chicago on Rylee's Birthday, and actually planned it that way so we could go to the American Girl Place in downtown.  Once everyone was up and ready we headed to Dunkin Donuts for some birthday breakfast.  After breakfast we headed downtown for some shopping.  The girls were so cute in the store, us Moms could barely keep up with them they were going so fast.  After some shopping and some treats, we spent a few minutes in the Lego store so I could get Nolan some Legos.  We then headed back to the Munro's house to get Nolan and pack up our things.  Rylee fell in love with Cheesecake Factory on this trip and requested that after we left Hallie's we go to lunch there, so of course we did.  She somehow managed to get a free piece of cheesecake from our waiter for her birthday, and it came out with "Happy Anniversary" on it and she didn't seem to mind.  She and Nolan loved every bite of that cake.  After lunch it was time to get to the airport for what we thought was going to be an on time departure, but unfortunately it was not.  We were supposed to leave Chicago at 6:25, but ended up not taking off until after 10:30 and didn't get home until about 12:45.  While in the airport the kids were great, but we were all ready to be on the plane home, so luckily once they got on the plane they slept the entire flight.  Daddy was waiting for us at the airport, and when we got home Rylee was awake and ready to open her presents, so we did.  She got a few dresses, some hair flowers, little pet shops, a slap bracelet and some head bands.  Once presents were open it was definitely time for sleep, but it was a long fun day!!!

Chicago

The kids and I spent 5 days in Chicago a few weeks ago, and we are all ready to go back.  I didn't even see as much as I wanted of the city, and it has still become one of my most favorite places.  We had a soccer tournament for a few days, and then we spent a few days at our friends house.

We arrived on a Saturday and the first thing we did was find somewhere to get Chicago style pizza.  It was so cute when the pizza came out Nolan said, "Mommy, I wanted pizza that is pie."  While it did look like pie I had to reassure him that it was pizza, and then he loved it!

On Sunday we had a soccer game, and then we went into downtown.  We started at the Willis (Sears) Tower and the kids loved it.  They thought it was so cool that we could see "forever" and they even laid down and looked straight at the ground in the sky box.  Following the tower we went to dinner at another delicious pizza place, and then walked to the Hershey Chocolate store.

Monday started with another soccer game, and then we went to Lake Michigan for a "swim," but since the water is freezing the kids played in the sand and let the water splash them.  It was then back to the hotel to get clean and go to dinner.

Tuesday was our last soccer game, and then we decided to head to our friend's house, the Munro's, a day earlier than planned because all the kids were so excited to see each other.  It was so nice to see our friends, and the kids were so excited to just go play.  The next two days were spent playing toys in the house riding bikes and scooters, going to the park, having popsicles, and really truly just enjoying our time.

Here are some pictures from the trip:
