Growing Up

We went to the park today, it was a little windy, but we still had lots of fun. She is starting to climb the stairs so fast, and even trying new ways to go down the slide. Today we went down on our tummy, luckily feet first! We tried the swing today, but she was not having it, maybe next time.

Last Day With Grandma

Rylee was very excited when Grandma arrived at lunch she went running to give her hugs. We had a very nice lunch, but when it was time to go we were all a little sad! Rylee gave Grandma lots of kisses to deliver to everyone back in Texas, so make sure you get your Rylee loves from Grandma.

Running Outside

Today we went and had a final lunch with Grandma, and while we were waiting for them to arrive at lunch Rylee ran around the parking lot. She had so much fun pointing at cars going by and just squealing and bring cute. I asked her where Grandma was, but she didn't know, as you can see in the picture.

Animal Noises

ENJOY!! She gets funnier by the day, she wouldn't sit up for me to film this, she wanted to lay down.

A Visit From Kennedy

We were so lucky to see our good friends yesterday. They are in town on a visit and stopped by to play with Rylee. Kennedy and Rylee picked up right where they left off with Kennedy always making Rylee laugh! We sure do miss having them next door, but we are happy for our occasional visit!

Readers

On Friday night Rylee had her first slumber party with Grandma at Aunt Karlie's house. I had a game at 8:30, so it was kind of a mean trick on me, no baby but I still had to be up at 6:15 am! Rylee and Jayden have been playing really well together this trip, and Grandma caught this picture of them reading together the other night, such smart kiddos!

Fascinated

Rylee loves babies, and especially her cousins. After a day of shopping at the outlets, we headed over to Subway for a quick lunch. Rylee sat and looked and played with Cousin Karah while Aunt Karlie and I had sandwiches made. I just love how cute Rye looks kneeling in front of the car seat!

Is My Lap Big Enough????

The other night I was holding Cousin Karah, when one little girl started to have some jealousy issues, so I picked her up too. Then Cousin Jayden wanted to sit on my lap too, he felt left out, so up I pulled him! I was giving Karah a bottle, and Rylee decided it was her job to help do that! She actually did pretty well, but she kept pulling it out and teasing poor Karah.

The Living Planet Aquarium

The weather was not so nice yesterday, so we took the opportunity to do an indoor activity with Grandma Kathi and our cousins - The Aquarium. The kids had so much fun pointing at the fishes, making fish faces, and even splashing in water where they could pet Manaray! The big kids had so much fun because they could walk around and run all over the place. We keep having ugly weather around here, so it looks like we could go back soon.

The Zoo

Grandma Kathi got into town today and we have already had so much fun. We met for lunch at TGI Friday's, then we headed to the Zoo! The kids had so much fun together. They shared cookies, drinks, and showed each other where the animals were. The Peacock went right past us and shrieked. At first Jayden and Rylee were a little scared, but then they started making the same noise and thought it was hilarious. Rylee had so much fun she fell asleep in the car on the way home, and was out for the night! We cannot wait to see what else is in store for the rest of the week.

Sidewalk Chalk at Grandma's

I forgot these pictures were on the camera, and was so excited when I found them today. She and Bryson have so much fun together. So after time in the hot tub, the two half dressed kids went out to the front yard for some coloring. Both of them were caught coloring a few of the cars in the driveway and then throwing the chalk, but they had fun!

Busy Bees

This week came and went so fast, I did not even have a chance to take a picture! I have been busy, every free minute I have, working on our Club Website and Rylee has been my big helper. On Monday we flew home from California and it was a beautiful day, only to wake up Tuesday with 40 mph winds and snow! Also on Monday we went to the Doctor, and Doctor Mumford removed Rylee stitches! She wouldn't let us take the band aid off until last night, and she still shows it to me all the time for kisses better. Another fun surprise along with snow on Tuesday was Rylee woke up with her eyes sealed shut with goop and a runny nose. I thought "you go to be kidding, we were just at the doctor." She didn't act to sick all day Tuesday actually really sweet and mellow. Wednesday we cleaned house together and went to soccer practice. Rylee also got to play with Daddy a lot during lunch the first few days this week because the weather was so bad he couldn't golf(we like the bad weather for that reason!). Thursday was full of playing together all morning. We played Mr. Potato Head, kitchen, shape sorter, golf, and soccer. In the afternoon we had a two hour car ride to a soccer game, luckily she slept the whole way there. Then today we went to the doctor again because our goopy eyes and nose were only getting worse. Doctor Mumford was surprised to see us already, but was very glad we came in. Rylee has a double ear infection, a sinus infection, and a red throat. He thinks the ear infection started to drain into the sinuses and it caused the sinus infection, which caused the sore throat! So, we are back on antibiotics and hoping to be feeling much better before Grandma Kathi gets here on Tuesday!
I almost forgot...Daddy got Rylee a putter, pictures to come tomorrow after we go golfing.

Golf With Papa

Yesterday, after the funeral, Papa took the entire day off from work. Rylee was excited to spend so much time with her Papa. We went and met Papa on the back nine at the golf course and helped him play 6 holes. Rylee and he played catch with the golf balls, hit the ball together, and she even put Papa's ball in the hole for him! Grandma and I rode in the cart and helped keep Rye Rye calm, she was a bit roudy yesterday!

Grandpa's Funeral

John Edward Campbell
June 7, 1921 - April 6, 2008

Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day. This trip was a spur of the moment trip so that Rylee and I could attend my Grandfather's funeral. He passed away last Sunday evening at the age of 86. The services yesterday were great. We had the chance to see many family members we had not seen in a long time, and even meet some new little cousins. The weather was perfect for the day, 86 degrees, blue skies and not an ounce of wind. Rylee and I are both wearing our clothes we bought, courtesy of Delta Airlines, who have still not found my bag! Rylee made a two new friends yesterday my cousins daughters, Kylie and Ava. We will miss Grandpa greatly, but we are so happy to know that this is just a short seperation.

Forgot to Post . . .

Rylee got ahold of a green crayon the other morning and look at what I found later that day! Yup, green on four different walls upstairs. She has been so good about playing in her toy room by herself, but I guess I will have to monitor just a little closer. I was in cleaning her dresser out while this was going on, and she brought me in the crayon and I thought nothing of it, she sure fold me!

New Dinner Table

Grandma has a little table in the kitchen for the grandkids, but Rylee found her own table. She had peaches on a plate at the table in the kitchen, and decided to pick up the plate and bring it into the family room. She sat the plate next to Grandma and they ate peaches together. Rylee could not reach as well as she wanted, so she brought a toy over and stood on it. She is getting so smart.

Outside at Grandma's Again

We left home yesterday morning, after snow all day Wednesday and two more inches yesterday, and came out to Grandma and Papa's and it was 80 degrees. I was actually worried about Rylee getting sunburned outside. Grandma got Rylee a new ball to play with when we were at the store, and she had so much fun running around the back yard chasing it, hitting it, and throwing it to Grandma. We were trying so hard to wear her out because she would not nap for us, and in the end we won, we always win!

Expected Delivery: UNKNOWN

Yes it is true. Rylee and I arrived on Thursday morning and much to our shock our luggage did not arrive. We were told we would have it by days end, yesterday, and now it is 9:30 the next Friday night and we still do not have luggage. The only positive is Delta had to give us money to buy clothes for Grandpa's funeral and for us to not wear the same thing every day! I am bummed because I have no make up and cannot straighten my hair in the morning... I know pathetic, but I like to look nice! So, if you have seen this bag, except mine has yellow writing instead of white, please please please send it back to me.

"Where's Your Owie?"

Rylee has been such a brave little girl this evening. After catching her finger on an open can we had to take her to the ER. At first we didn't think it was that bad, but after 20 minutes of pressure it still hadn't stopped bleeding all the way. At the ER they gave her a numbing shot in the finger, four pokes, and then she got two stitches. The doctor said there was no damage to anything deeper and she should be healed up in no time. She gave the entire staff knuckles and was such a good patient. She walked out with two suckers and we didn't even mind that she was sticky from head to toe by the time we got home!

Locked Out!

That is right, I got locked out of my own car by a 21 month old! Yesterday Rylee and I had gone to the gym and we were loading the car afterwards, and she was not cooperating. I was trying to get her strapped in and she was reaching in every direction for her backpack, for her cup, for a car, you name it she wanted it. So, I pinned her down and got her buckled up. After buckling her I reached into my diaper bag to get my cell phones out. I grabbed my phones and shut the door. Not a second later I hear the car horn honk, and think "oh crap!" Yep, that is right I left the keys in her car seat next to her leg and she locked me out of the car. She loves to play with the car keys because the horn honks every time you push the lock button! She was sitting in her car seat laughing and squealing every time she made the horn honk. She would look at me, push the button, and then say "Mama, hahah!" I tried to stay calm and was asking her to please push the other button, and every time I asked she shook her head no! After about 3 minutes I called Matt to let him know of my blonde moment, and he just started laughing because he could hear the horn. I told him I might need him to bring the spare key down, and just as I said that I heard a double click on the door and I snatched the door open as quickly as I could. I knew it would only be an instant before she hit lock again, so I was waiting with my hand on the handle. So, luckily she didn't throw the keys and she did unlock the door because I would have felt really dumb having to call AAA or make Matt leave work to let me into my own car! - k

Happy Birthday Double G!

Yes it is true, Double G was born on April Fools Day. Rylee wanted to wish her Double G a happy birthday, and tell him that he needs to come visit because we seriously need some new pictures of Double G and Rylee! I know we have one from Thanksgiving in Booneville, but it was on Erica's camera and I cannot find those pictures. Other than that these are the sweet pictures we have of the two of you. Happy Birthday Double G!!!
