A Daddy's Girl

Rylee is so cute lately. Since we have been home from our vacation she has become very aware that Daddy is not around all day, so all I hear all day is "Dada?" It is really cute. Last night on my drive home from soccer practice I listened to a broken record of "DaaaDaaaa" the whole way home. When Daddy gets home from work now she attacks him, literally. Then this morning Daddy was leaving for work and we thought Rye was still asleep, so he just went straight downstairs. Next thing I knew the broken record had started all over again. I went to get her so she could go see Dada before he left, but I couldn't take her out of the crib without Daddy seeing first. I called him back upstairs to see his little girl sitting up with both arms through the rails calling out to him. She had seen him walk by and wanted him to come get her. By the time Dada had made it back upstairs she was standing in the crib, two arms reaching for him to come get her. It was too sweet. We are going to go trick-or-treat with him today at his office, we are very excited. - k

The Hilton

The Hilton in Hawaii is so much fun to take kids to, and Rylee had a great time as we walked around the resort. The have some of the neatest pools and lagoons to swim in, they have a tram to take you around on or a fun boat that Rylee loved, and then they have dolphins as well. There was even a baby dolphin. It was so cute to watch it swim right next to its Mommy the whole time, and Daddy caught a really cute picture of it. Rylee had a lot of fun walking around on the boat and even decided she could climb stairs now days. Yeah, I have a little monkey on my hands now. -k

Eating Lasagna With Mommy

Rylee didn't care who was eating or what they were eating she wanted to help. Grandma and I had ran into town to the store so we were eating dinner a little later than everyone else, but that didn't stop Rylee from wanting a second helping. She saw me eating, crawled over to my chair and started pulling on my pants. She sat on my lap and ate over half of my serving of lasagna. Notice the use of a fork these days, she won't eat unless she has one. -k

Cute Cousins

These two girls had so much fun playing together this trip. These are pictures that we captured of the two girls just being cute or playing together. Hope you enjoy. -k

Silly Games With Papa

So Grandpa and Grandma can get Rylee to laugh harder than anyone. Grandpa was being silly with Rylee at dinner, first they played with ice until Rylee's hand was red, and then he let her get him with the spoon. She would knock his head and he would act like it hurt. Rylee thought it was so funny. The funniest part of this game was right after this video stopped Rylee popped Grandpa right in the tooth when he wasn't ready, he was fine and that is what made it so funny. -k

Akaka Falls

Since we were on vacation we decided we should do some site seeing while we were there. On Wednesday we went to Akaka Falls on the opposite side of the island from Grandma and Grandpa's place. On the way there we stopped at a few lookouts because they were so pretty. At one of them I got a picture of the three boys, so handsome! On the drive Rylee decided she needed to eat some Pringles like the adults. Once we got there we walked to the waterfall and it was gorgeous, the only disappointing thing was we only got to see one of the two falls. The other trail was damaged during the earthquake awhile back. -k

Papa's Girl

Rylee loves her Papa. To watch the two of them play together is so cute. Papa lets Rylee get away with anything, and she loves playing with him. They did so much togehter this last week, I know Rylee already misses Papa and hopes to see him soon.

Sunday and Monday in Hawaii

The first two days in Hawaii were a little more difficult than we would have liked, but we made it. On Sunday Dad went and collected more than 150 golf balls and Rylee enjoyed playing with them. I don't know how much Bill downstairs enjoyed it, but it made her happy. She would sit in the middle of the golf balls and throw them across the room and watch them bounce across the stone floor. From the golf balls we moved to sitting on the couch and playing with a cardboard box Grandma gave her. She had quite a hard time adjusting to the time change, I hope she does better adjusting now that we are home. - k

The Blogger is on Vacation

I have taken a nice little break from blogging and everything else for that matter. Brace yourselves for when I get home and get back to my own computer--the CUTE pictures of Rylee will overwhelm you!
As far as our vacation goes we are having a great time. Uncle Jason's wedding was gorgeous. The rain and clouds arrived late enough in the day that they could get pretty pictures, but not long enough for the reception to be outside, so we moved it indoors. From the reception we caught our plane to Hawaii. Rylee was an angel on the plane, she slept the first 2 1/2 hours of the ride; However, the first two days here we had a cranky baby. The time change and a little sore throat had Daddy and I questioning why we had even brought her with us. She almost got FedEx'ed to Grandma Kathi. After she and I had it out yesterday morning, she decided to shape-up and we are now having a great time. - k

Scarecrow Festival

Yesterday we went to the Scarecrow Festival and had a great time with our friends. There was so much for the bigger girls to do, I can't wait for Rylee to be older next year so she can have that much fun too. We had fun going down the blow up slides together, eating lunch, going on wagon rides, and we tried to get Rylee to go on the ponies but she fell asleep waiting in line. - k

Bathtub Art

Last week at the store I picked up some bath tub crayons, because I thought the girls would have fun with them and I think I was right. The two of them had so much fun coloring all over the sides of the tub, Aunt Erica even helped them write their names on the side of the tub. Luckily I bought a pack of crayons with "aqua-marine" in it for Megan!! - k

These Girls Have Rhythm

All weekend Megan has been asking to dance and asking everyone else to dance with her, so we would cue up Jungle Book to a song and off she would go. Then today our Daddy showed Megan the piano upstairs and the two girls had a great time making music together for about 10 minutes, and then one of them hit the play button and this song started playing. Megan jumped up and started yelling "dance, dance." It looks like with all the dancing Megan has done this weekend Rylee has started to catch on. - k

Oh Thank You!

Rylee and Megan must have played this game for close to thirty minutes this morning. Rylee would pull a DVD down and hand it to Megan who would then reply, "Oh Thank You!" Every time she seemed so sincere and suprised that Rylee was handing her the DVD. We will sure miss playing with Cousin Megan until Christmas.

Oh No... Another Cowboy Fan!

Since marrying Matt I have had to become okay with cheering for some other teams besides MY teams, and it looks like I have failed to create another 49er fan! Aunt Erica brought Rylee up this Cowboy sweat outfit and Matt could not wait to get pictures of her in it. While she does look cute in her outfit, we are going to have to work on whose side she is on when we watch sports together. She needs to learn the girls need to stick together! - k

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch today with all our cousins. Rylee did pretty well posing for pictures and playing with the pumpkins. The three mom's made fools of themselves trying to get all three kids to look in the same direction at once, but it never really happened. We had a few meltdowns, but overall we had a terrific time playing today. - k

Lots of Family

Wow what a fun two days we have had. Yesterday Cousin Megan, Aunt Erica and Grandpa Rick flew into town to play. Granna, Double G and Grandma Kathi have been here all week, so we have had so much fun. Then this morning Aunt Lisa and Uncle Jeff drove down all the way from Seattle so they could join in on the fun too. The cousins have been so cute playing together, only a few pushes and stolen toys, but that is what cousins are for! It has been so fun having everyone in town but we had to say good bye to all the grandparents today!! We will see them again at Christmas, but we have 3 more days with Megan and Aunt Erica!! :) - k

Kami's Birthday Party

While in California we got to go to Kami's 6th birthday party, it was SO fun! She got lots of clothes, a neat new rocking chair, some toys, and a new bike. Rylee had so much fun playing with Kami and all of the balloons at the party. She sat on Grandpa's lap and waved a balloon back and forth squealing for about 10 minutes, then she started showing everyone her tongue. We had so much fun in California and we are excited to go back out for Uncle Jason's wedding. - k
