All Bundled to Go Watch Daddy

This morning Daddy, Grandpa, and Uncle Jeff played in a flag football game with the Young Men and Elder's Quorum. Rylee was extremely excited to go watch Daddy, "pay fooball," so we had to get all bundled because it was chilly. She promised to leave her hat on if she got to and she even picked out which jacket she wanted to wear. She cheered her boys on but then we lost her to the park with a few other kids. She stayed nice and warm and had a great time.

They're Here

Our company surprised us a day early and it was perfect because Rylee was more than ready. When Grandma and Grandpa first arrived Rylee was a bit shy, but she warmed up very quickly. Every time she talks to Papa or if you ask her what she wants to do with Papa she will tell you, "pay bocks." So, within 5 minutes of being there the blocks were out and everyone was building while Rylee knocked them all over! We are so excited for more fun the rest of the week.

Creative Entertainment

Believe it or not, she's having a blast. This is her 'cheeeese' smile.

On Wednesday night while I was cooking dinner Rylee was riding around on her four-wheeler. I was very excited because it meant she was entertained while I was cooking, and she would not be trying to help me too much. She saw me pulling stuff in and out of drawers, and I guess she wanted to do the same. She brought her four-wheeler right up next to the kitchen drawers and started unloading them. (I was right behind her in case of any slippage.) After the wheels rocked backwards a couple of times, she went and got Daddy's shoes and asked me to put them behind the wheels - problem solved. Needless to say, she was entertained and I got two lasagna's cooked, one to eat and one to freeze for after baby.

My Excuses

I know I have been a bit of a blog slacker lately and I am going to make my case. First, we have kind of been home bodies this week, other than a few errands and the gym. Second, I am 35 1/2 weeks pregnant, enough said. Lastly, I have been scrapbooking my brains out. So far I have made an entire calendar for my mom for next year, did Rylee's entire calendar for this year (yes a little late), and made 14 more scrapbook pages. Here is a little sampling of my work. My goal is to have her book completely done/caught up prior to the baby boy being born.

So what have we been up to... Rylee is talking more and more each day. Her new words are wonderful, everywhere, daddy's pumpkin pie, daddy's present, Jeremy, Double G, and anything you say she pretty much tries to repeat. She and Daddy have played a lot of soccer in the entry way this week. She has to hit the front door to score a goal and then they celebrate together! We have started to really push potty training again and she is doing pretty well, about one accident a day right now. She had her second gymnastics class and I was in big trouble for forgetting the camera especially after I told Daddy how fun she was this week.
It is Matt's Birthday tomorrow and we have been celebrating all month. For his 30th birthday we have gotten him 30 presents in 30 days. He has very much enjoyed being spoiled.
I had my 35 week check up this week and everything is going great. Just keep your fingers crossed for us, mostly for me, that he wants to come early like his big sister.
We are excited for the next few weeks with lots of company coming into town starting on Wednesday.

Gymnastics Class

Today was Rylee's first day at gymnastics. We thought it would be a fun thing for her to do during the winter months, and she had a great time. At first her teacher, Megan, didn't know if Rylee was having fun, because she had the most serious/determined look on her face the entire time, but when we asked her if she was having fun, she lit up and shouted "YEAH!" The class is 45 minutes long and meets once a week. They start off in their little room and do balance beams, hand stands, somersaults, jumps, etc., then they go into the big gym to play in the foam pit (Rye's favorite), and they finish up back in their room. Rylee was a little hesitant with each activity the first time, but then we couldn't get her to stop. After class she kept tell me, "more, nastics mommy." Hopefully her excitement for it continues as she gets better at each skill.

A Fun Day Out

Last week our close friends added another sweet baby to the family, so we thought it would be fun to give their Mom a little break and have a fun day out. It started by picking up Hank! Rylee's excitement had been building since she woke up this morning, so just getting to Hank's was a big deal. From there we headed to the store to pick up a few more Christmas presents. We borrowed Hank's double stroller and wow pushing those two around was almost enough to put this pregnant lady into labor! These two had so much fun pestering each other and playing with their cars! One second Hank was turned around poking Rylee, the next Rylee was tapping Hank on the head, and then they were busting up laughing at each other! I had three people ask me how old my twins were. The first two people I explained the truth, the third person I simply replied, "oh, they are 2!"
After the mall we headed down to the Aquarium. The two of them were so cute to watch, they could not walk from one exhibit to the next without holding hands.
Shortly after we arrived at the Aquarium we learned that there was a storytime about to start, so we went over to that. The two kids sat right next two each other, and I was rather impressed with how well the two of them sat still and listened. One of the stories was about Jake the Snake and after the story ended they had a snake for the kids to pet on the back; however, neither Rylee or Hank would go within 3 feet of the teeny snake (I don't blame them!). After storytime we went around and looked at a few more fish exhibits, but then these two were ready for lunch. The Aquarium had a wonderful little cafe in it, so we got some lunch and dug in. There is only one high chair in the place, so Rylee and Hank sat on the chairs like big kids and did a great job.We had a great time, and by the time we got to Hank's house both kids were sound asleep!

Only 2 More Weeks

Can someone please come help me explain to my two year old what two more weeks means? I have tried and tried to help her understand that Papa Rick will be here in two weeks and then Papa Steve will be here the week after, but she is ready now. Yesterday morning I asked Rylee if she knew what was coming today, her response with a huge smile, "Papa!" I had to tell her that it was just our new kitchen table and that Papa wasn't coming yet. Lately if Matt or I mention Papa to Rylee she starts melting down, and to let her talk on the phone is a toss up - sometimes it makes it worse and other times she is so excited to talk. Yesterday she was having a few meltdowns and this was one of them. She doesn't actually ask for him by name in the video, but you get the idea.

Where's Rylee?

At first it might look like this is just my kitchen cabinet, but with closer inspection you will find a Rylee hiding inside! I love that she will still sit in there and play every now and then, because it sure helps while I am making dinner.

Mommy's Shoes

Rylee has loved wearing Mommy and Daddy's shoes lately and tonight she was strutting around in mine. She so kindly removed her own pants because they were a little long, so you get a half dressed little girl. The video is sideways because I filmed in the wrong direction, sorry.

Picture Comparison

31 Weeks with Rylee

35 Weeks with Rylee

33 Weeks with Baby Boy

Erica did a little picture comparison on her blog and it made me think, wonder what my comparison would be. I didn't have a 33 week picture last time, but I had a 31 week and a 35 week, so I am right in the middle. I thought I would share!! He is a bit bigger, I think. As for my comfy outfit, I have to give credit to my sweet husband who wanted me to have something "maternity" to lounge around in versus his t-shirts and my soccer sweats. :)!!
