Swimming

Rylee was fussy all day again today, so I brought out the big guns... the swimming pool!!! I knew no matter how yucky she was feeling she would love her swimming pool, and luckily I was right. She enjoyed splashing in the water, trying to climb out of the pool and taking drinks of water from her bucket. I sure hope this tooth comes in soon or she gets over whatever is bothering her, because we can only spend so long in the pool each day! - k

Tupperware

Rylee didn't want to play with any of her toys or me yesterday, all she wanted was to sit in the cupboard and play with the tupperware. She would throw everything out and then lean out and pick it all back up. I was a little scared she would fall out on her head but she never did!

Cottage Cheese

Cousin Megan loves cottage cheese and so do some of Rylee's friends, so I picked some up at the store the other day. It took me four days to be brave enough to let her try it, I didn't want to clean up the mess!! At first she just wanted to play with it and rub it all over her tray, but then she started to eat it and she liked it. By the end she had two spoonfuls, and that is after she ate half a banana! - k

Car Ride

Rylee cannot quite walk with her new walker, but she loves to go on rides on it--although I quickly get tired of pushing her around. The other day she was so fussy that the car was the only thing that made her happy. So, off we went! After about 10 laps around the downstairs we headed outside. I cannot wait for her to figure out how to push herself around on the car! - k

Sleep Talker

Okay Rylee can only say about five words, but she is already talking in her sleep. This morning she woke up around 6:45 and was really restless, so I went and got her. She and I were snuggling in the rocking chair and all of the sudden I hear this sweet soft little voice say, "ball." I looked down at her and she was sound asleep! I wonder if we are going to have a sleep talker on our hands as she gets older. - k

Tile, Who Cares?

Rylee used to stop at the edge of the tile, but lately it doesn't phase her. Today she took off into the entry way and I had to go looking for her, she was in the half bathroom. She is getting much closer to crawling, but she still loves to roll all over the place! - k

Birthday Party

Luckily Grandma Kathi had the camera out for the party, because Matt and I were busy hosting and did not take nearly enough pictures. Rylee was extremely blessed to have so many people she loved come to her party and bring her such nice presents. Matt described our house after the party by saying, "It looks like Toys R Us threw up in our house!" But, Rylee loves all her presents and has had so much fun with everyone that came to visit! - k

Pool Time

Aunt Erica, Uncle Jeremy and Cousin Megan got Rylee a pool and some toys for her birthday and she loves it. We played out there for almost an hour the other day and she just slapped the water and played the entire time. - k

Golf

Rylee had a great time golfing with us yesterday. She practiced putting for the first time and went 5 for 5 on her putts, but her favorite thing was being outside and in the golf cart. -k

Birthday Cake

Rylee had a FUN birthday party the other day. She was not quite so sure about eating the cake, but with some encouragement from other people she dug right in. She dumped the cake upside down and then had a great time playing in it. Rylee would take a bite and then a take another handful and offer it to other people. She was a bit of a mess, but it was lots of fun! - k
