Little Drama Queen

Lately Rylee has become quite dramatic in lots of different ways. Today I was playing with her in her playroom and then went to vacuum the upstairs, but she was not okay with that. As soon as I stepped over the safety gate she started screaming. By the time I was done vacuuming she was standing against the safety gate and smacking it to try and get out. All I could do was laugh and quickly go grab the camera! - k

Watching the Parade with Daddy

Rylee and Daddy watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade together. Earlier in the morning Rylee found her walker and of course wanted to play with it, so she sat in it and watch the Parade with Daddy. Later she was sitting on Daddy's lap and he was pointing to Big Bird and Elmo while their float went by. The two of them had lots of fun playing all day on Thanksgiving while Mommy was trying to pack to go to San Diego. -k

Pony

Rylee normally doesn't get to take toys to eat with her, but I said what the heck. She had so much fun walking her pony across her tray and showing me her pony. Unfortunately pony did not encourage her to eat, which she decided she did not want to do all day today. - k

Who Does She Look Like?

We often discuss who Rylee looks like, and I always have thought she looks like her daddy. Daddy tries to be nice and tell me she looks like me more and more lately, but I think she still looks like Daddy. These are pictures of the three of us when we were all 1 year old. Let us know what you guys think!

Special Time With Grandma

Grandma taught Rylee a new game, and she loves it. She kept acting like she wanted to get in her laundry basket, so Grandma plopped her in. She would grab her toys and hand them out to Grandma and then ask for them back. Grandma did such a great job entertaining Rylee. She played hide and go seek with one of Rylee's ponies, and Rylee was so good at finding the pony. She wanted to give Grandma lots of kisses, and every time Grandma would ask Rylee where the pony was she would give her new I don't know face and then dive to find it, it was really cute. She already misses them, we had such a meltdown when they left today that we had to go get in the bath to make her happy. - k

It REALLY Happened . . .

Last Sunday night Grandpa called and said he missed his Rylee so much that he was going to drive back to see her this weekend. Daddy and I thought 'yeah right, we will believe when we see it.' Well it really happened. Grandma and Grandpa drove out to visit Rylee this weekend, and she couldn't be happier. It was so cute when they got here she totally recognized them and she got so excited, just like when Daddy comes home from work. She saw Papa and started calling for him and dove out of my arms for him to hold her. Yesterday she got to play with Grandma for a long time while Papa worked, and Grandma had Rylee giggling and smiling the whole time. Once Papa finished work Rylee got to do her two favorite things play with Papa's computer and cell phone! We are so excited they are here for the weekend, and we wish they could stay longer. - k

Uncle Jason's Wedding Pictures

We got a few pictures from Aunt Heather today from their wedding. It was a beautiful day and everybody looked so nice. Rylee wasn't in much of a smiling mood, but she was still pretty cute in her dress Grandma made for her.

DaDa

Rylee has become obsessed with her "Dada" lately, and Dada is not complaining! She asks for him constantly. Last night Dada had fallen asleep on the couch while Rylee and I were playing and she wanted to go get him. She was very into Dada until she noticed the computer was within reach!! - k

The Stairs

Rylee's favorite thing to do lately is play on the stairs. She is really good at climbing up them. Supervised she has gone bottom to top several times, but the only problem is she has not learned how to go down them. She tries to scoot over the edge of them on her bum, but she generally catches a toe and flips the rest of the way down! I have tried and tried to teach her and show her how to go down on her tummy, but nope she wants to go down on her bum. We have only had one tumble down the stairs and that was yesterday, but within two minutes she was back on them trying to climb to the top. - k

Her Own Chair

For the last week or so I have been working on turning our loft into a playroom, and I am still working. The only thing I have left is to move the desk and put in the new one, and to spray paint a few things! Today we added our chairs to the playroom. By the picture you can tell Rylee loves them. We have the green one and then a red one. Rylee has already figured out how to climb into the chair, turn around and sit down in it. She is really funny because she totally lounges in the chair, it makes me giggle! Oh and the latest news on Rye Rye, she has her right top molar! - k

Lesson Learned . . . ALWAYS Bring the Camera

We went shopping at the Outlets today with Addie, Sadie and their Mommy, so I thought of just shopping no need for the camera. Well I was so wrong. I am proud to say though have all my shopping done for Christmas and Birthday's except Aunt Lisa (I know what I am getting though) and Grandma Kathi and Grandpa Rick. At the outlets they have a really fun play ground that we used as bribery to help us keep the girls in control, so when we were done we let them play. I cannot believe it but Rylee did the slide all by herself today. We would set her at the top, she would scoot over to the edge and slide right down with a smile ear to ear. She was having so much fun she actually had a little fit when we had to leave. From the playground we went to the little merry-go-round, a first for Rylee and she did so good on it. I was a little worried she might slip, but she sat so big and held on the entire time. So as I am sitting there watching these huge smiles on the slide and merry-go-round I was so mad at myself for not bringing the camera. -k

Is She Snoring?

Rylee was signing "eat" to me, so I got her a snack and stuck her in her high chair. I was on the couch blogging the previous post, when all of the sudden I heard a little munchkin snoring. Needless to say the one hour of time change has thrown her for a little loop. - k

I Want A Ride

I got Rylee's school bus out for her to play with today and she decided she should ride on it. She continued to smile and laugh at me until I would pull her around, then she would start squealing.
I didn't realize her leg that was sort of stuck in the school bus is what was holding her onto the bus. I moved it for her, because I thought it was probably hurting, but I made a big mistake.
Just seconds before Mommy pulled her and she flipped right off. After I moved her leg I went to pull her around again and she went sailing right over the back, oops. I think she still likes me! - k

Happy Halloween

Rylee, our little butterfly, had a great time on Halloween. We were invited over to our friends house for dinner and fun, and Rylee had such a great time. While waiting for everyone to arrive Rylee and Sadie had so much fun playing together on the stairs, a little scary for Mommy but they had a blast. Then Daddy arrived and his little girl "sprint crawled" over to give him a hug. We tried our best to get a picture of the three girls, but they were not cooperating, so this is the best we could get. Rylee stayed home from trick-or-treating, but when Addie came home the two of them played until it was time to get ready for bed. I think they had fun playing together, look at that smile! -k
