Baseball

Rylee went to her second game of the season and was much better behaved this time around. Of course it wasn't 50 degrees this time either. She enjoyed clapping with the fans, but had more fun playing with the little girl on our row. - k

Yard Work Helper

Daddy and I were trying to get a few things done around the yard. Daddy did much more than I did, but Rylee was good for an hour so I could help a bit. The yard is coming along great (thanks to Daddy), we want it to be ready for Rylee to run around and play in next Summer!

Sunshine With No Wind FINALLY!

Rylee and I have been waiting and waiting for a chance to go to the park and play, but all week it has been SO windy. Finally, on Thursday there was no wind and we got to go play! She has so much fun on the swing, I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of our Summer at the park. Rylee has discovered her tongue and loves to stick it out and smile. She has also decided that she doesn't care for hats anymore and always tries to take them off, but I am smarter and only use the hats that have a chin strap! -k

Clapping and Ball

Rylee loves to show off! Hope you enjoy. - k

New Trick

Rylee has learned how to clap and she does it all the time. She applauds when she does something well and anytime someone says "Yeah!" - k

A Sign of Good Things?

Rylee only loves playing with all of her sports balls. She has lots of other toys all around her but all she wants to do is play with the balls. I am hopeful that this is a sign for a love of sports later on, but I am not holding my breath yet! Rylee has also started doing a cheesy smile when we pull out the camera, and don't worry she hammed it up for the camera in these pictures too. - k

Snot Everywhere

The teething has begun and so has the snot. Last night we were up all night dealing with teething, and then this morning on came the runny nose. This picture is not the half of it, but it is a good example of why we have gone through 10 Kleenex so far today. - k

"Ball"

Rylee has learned how to say "ball," and it is so cute. She will rarely say it out loud, but she always whispers it. It is the only word she says consistently. If you hold her ball in front of her she says ball, and if you hold a ball and a block in front of her and ask her to get the ball she grabs her ball. If we ever ask her where her ball is she gets this big smile and says ball and will start looking for it. Tonight we were trying to get her to say ball for the video and she does, but she is way more into the car key that she found (this is the same car key that the temper tantrum last week). While her saying ball is cute, we bust up laughing at the face she pulls after she says it, she is so proud of herself. - k

Giggles with G'ma

Rylee and Grandma were laughing up a storm together. Every time Grandma laughed so would Rylee, and the harder Grandma laughed the harder Rylee laughed. There is a lot of background noise, but the little girl is so cute in this video. - k

More CA pics

I remembered we had a few pictures on the camera we had not uploaded, so I decided I should share them with you. - k

Picture Drought

I apologize for the lack of Rylee pictures and updates in the last week, but the last week has been out of control. We have been from soccer to soccer, cleaning the house, doing endless laundry, the computer tried to break on us, oh and the little girl has been a stinker. She is waking at all hours of the night, not taking naps, and she is flat out exhausted; however, I think it has all caught up with her because she fell asleep eating breakfast this morning. I am hoping she is going to sleep the morning and early afternoon away, keep your fingers crossed. My guess is teething, but if not I am at a loss and so is Matt. - k

It Begins....

I experienced Rylee's first temper tantrum today, and wow. I don't know if I am ready for this. She has been extremely sleepy today and after her SECOND 2 1/2 hour nap I picked her up and we headed straight out the door to go to soccer. On the way down the stairs she grabbed the car key out of my hand and started waving it around and squealing. That was my cute girl. However, when we got to the car I needed that key, so I took it and traded her a toy to play with. Well, that toy was not what she wanted because she absolutely lost it. She threw the toy at me! I tried to give her the spare keys to the other car and again, they got thrown right back at me, too! I gave up to trying to calm her and so she screamed our entire half-hour drive to the fields. Is this really what we have to look forward to? - k

Group Pics

We went to the Picture People the other day and got the groups picture taken. It is funny because the last few times we have gone we got the same nice sweet lady, and oh do I feel bad for her. We try our best to get them to behave, but getting four kids 4 and under to behave and smile at the same time, good luck. But, she is a great worker and we always manage to get some great pics. - k

Easter Day

Rylee didn't really know what the Easter Basket was for, but she sure loved to play with it. During the Easter Egg Hunt Rylee hung out with Daddy while the other kids found eggs and made sure she had some in her basket too. After the Easter Egg Hunt they all put on their sunglasses that Grandma gave them and played together. - k

Uncle Travis

Uncle Travis is so silly and can always make Rylee smile. - k

"Kwissa"

Bryce learned how to say my name recently and I may have now become one his favorite people. The entire time we were in Tahoe he would be in another room and just start calling out my name until I came and said hi to him. He is quick to thank you for anything, and when you tell him he has good manners he lights up with a huge smile and agrees, "I Great Manners!" It is one of the cutest things ever. He still isn't quite sure what to think about Rylee, but I did manage to get a few pictures of them together. - k

Playing in the Snow

The kids loved to play in the snow. Alyssa and Trevor had never played in the snow before, and they loved it. They built a snowman with their daddy, they went sledding and had multiple snowball fights. Rylee wasn't too impressed with the snow since she sees it in her front yard half the winter, but she enjoyed being out their with her cousins. - k

"Wye-Patch and Twevor"

Trevor and Rylee were the best of buddies all weekend. Saturday morning when Trevor woke up I could hear him through the bedroom wall asking his mom, "where's Wye-Patch Mommy?" (Rye-Patch is a little nickname Grandma gave Rylee when she was born, because of the stork-bite on the end of her nose. The kids are so funny because they won't call her anything but that.) Trevor was the best about giving Rylee hugs and kisses all weekend, all he wanted to do was play with Rylee. He always made sure she had toys to play with. He loves her so much and it is so cute! Trevor is going to be such a good big brother to Kylie. - k

Fun Weekend

I know you are all anxiously awaiting new pictures of Rylee, and I promise they will come. Matt has the new pictures on the other computer and I will get them up as soon as possible. We had so much fun playing with all the cousins, aunt and uncles, and Grandma and Grandpa.
Rylee had her first Easter Egg Hunt, and while she didn't really know what was going on she had lots of fun watching all the other kids gather eggs. Cousin Alyssa and Trevor were so cute they kept giving Rylee and Bryce like every other egg they found.
I was so frustrated with Rylee after the first two nights because she woke up 4 - 5 times each night and then on Saturday she was chewing on Grandma's finger and all the sudden there was a tooth. So, I guess she had good reason to be waking up so much those two nights since she was cutting her FIRST tooth!!
I will post pictures later tonight! -k

Exhausted

Poor Rylee took two very short naps today and so by 7:30 this evening she was ready for bed. I took these pictures at 7:50 and she was out cold and looked so sweet. - k

Teething, We Hope

Rylee is now nine months old and has no sign of teeth. Lately she has been very fussy and waking up more frequently at night. She has also been putting everything she can find in her mouth to bite down on, so maybe this is a sign of her first tooth. -k

What's in there?

Rylee is so funny with her shape sorter. She loves to take everything out of it, but sometimes she cannot get a grip on the shapes and then she gets very frustrated. That is when she puts her head down and really concentrates on getting everything out of the sorter. - k
