Rylee's Dentist Appointment and Pudding

On Wednesday Rylee and I woke up nice and early to go get her little teeth fixed. She was such a sweet girl that morning, she was hungry and thirsty but not allowed to eat or drink anything, and I explained that to her 4 times on the drive up, but she never cried or even whined! About 10 minutes after we left I realized I left her paperwork at home, so we turned around and Daddy met us at the exit with her papers! I cannot tell you how many times I thought about not forgetting those papers, but somehow I did, geez! When we got the dentist she was really excited. She checked herself in with the receptionist and pointed to me where we were going to wait. While waiting for the Anesthesiologist to get there and get set up she must have said 10 times, "Mommy, I get my teeth fixed now!" I would reassure her any minute it would be her turn, and we were the only ones there so it was hard for her to understand why she had to wait!
First thing they did was have her look at a box full of little presents for her to pick one out, hoping it would distract her from the shot she was about to get, but no it didn't. The Anesthesiologist wiped her arm off and she looked at him saw the needle and then lost it! The shot was what put her under, and she was probably out within a minute of getting it. When she was asleep the took her out of my arms and carried her back. They worked on her for a little over 90 minutes and then came and got me. Sadly they had to cap two of the molars that did not have enamel and then seal the other ones. Once she was awake we drove home to hang out with Grandma Kathi and Nolan the rest of the day.
On the drive she didn't really say anything, just kinda moaned from time to time while she was sleeping. I carried her inside the house and as soon as we walked in she saw Grandma giving Nolan a bottle and she said, "No-No, drink bottle all gone," and then fell back asleep. We just hung out most the of morning and afternoon. She was really frustrated her mouth was numb because she could not suck her thumb! She sat on the couch flipping her bottom lip for about 20 minutes with the most confused look on her face because she couldn't feel it.
She started to get hungry and asked for a banana, but even a banana hurt to chew, so Grandma went to the store to get some yogurt. While she was gone Rylee and I made chocolate pudding, and this was her first time ever having pudding, and she loved it!! She ate three bowls of pudding before Grandma got back and then ate two yogurts!! By the end of the day she was outside riding her scooter and playing with her friends!! She was such a trooper all day!

So glad she came out of it ok. Kids coming out of anethesia is not a fun experience, it sounds like she did better than Sadie. Glad she got her teeth fixed and hope she is feeling better. Have fun in Hawaii and we will see you guys when you get back.
