Easter Morning

The kids were really excited about the Easter Bunny coming, maybe because they get very spoiled, but either way they very much understood the concept. Rylee woke up first this morning and came out and waited on the couch so patiently for everyone else to wake up, she didn't even go through her basket, but she did scope out the eggs in the backyard. Once we all woke up we went through their baskets to see what they got. Nolan asked for a "big kid scooter" and lucky for him he got it. Rylee asked for a cute new outfit, but then changed her mind to the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, so she got both! They also got some treats, a book, and a "golden" egg with some money to spend at Disney World in a few weeks. After they went through their baskets it was off to the races in the backyard. Rylee went flying off the back stairs to get all the eggs she had already seen, and Nolan was not too far behind. Luckily, without even planning, they each ended up with about the same number of eggs. Once all the eggs were gathered, we came in and inspected their loot! They then proceeded to eat more candy then any person really needs.

Disneyland

Last weekend I had a soccer tournament in San Diego, so we went down a day early and went to Disneyland. Grandma Michelle was so nice that she even flew down and met us at Disneyland to help me out. Nolan had not been to Disneyland since he was 6 months old, so he was beyond ecstatic, as was Rylee! We are going to Disney World in three weeks, so it was a good opportunity to introduce Nolan to all of it. The kids had a blast all day long, except for when we took Rylee on Thunder Mountain, she did not like that all. Nolan loved meeting the characters, Rylee was not as scared of them as she used to be, but she still wasn't going to be giving any of them hugs. We had an amazing day, and if you ask the kids Rylee will tell you her favorite ride was Pinocchio and Nolan's is different every day you ask him. The kids are extremely excited to go on their trip to Disney World!

Spring Golf

Everyone loves when the weather starts to warm up, but I think for kids it is the greatest time of the year, well at least for my kids I know it is. They love being outside and running/playing and enjoying the sunshine. We took advantage of a warm evening and took the kids to the golf course for some golf and dinner. They are really starting to be good little golfers when they pay attention. They both consistently make contact with the ball, and they are even starting to get a little distance on their shots. I see a lot more evening at the driving range in our future.

Disney On Ice

Last month my friend got the kids and I tickets to go to Disney on Ice with her, and we had a blast. It was Toy Story 3 on Ice, so it was perfect. Nolan is obsessed with all things Toy Story and Rylee loves Jesse and Barbie in the movie, so it worked out great. Nolan wore his Woody costume, and Rylee wore her Rapunzel one because she wanted too :)! The had so much fun yelling hi to their favorite characters and watching the show. We had dinner there, treats, and they each got a present to take home. We are so lucky to have such fun/good friends!

Dinosaur Museum

A few weeks ago Rylee's preschool took a field trip to the Dinosaur Museum. The kids love seeing all the dinosaurs, but more than anything the love digging for dinosaur bones. They spent a good thirty minutes in two different areas digging for dinosaurs and dinosaur bones. It is really fun to see Rylee interact with her friends, and to meet the kids she talks about every day. One little girl and Rylee were best buddies at the zoo field trip in the fall and the two of them hung out all day at the museum too. Nolan came on the field trip and the girls were so sweet to make sure he was included in everything.
