The days in Hawaii are very long because then tend to start at 5:00 am, but somehow when you are there the times seems to fly by! Since we are up so early we are able to get a lot done in one day. Monday started with Papa, Grandma and Daddy going to play golf, but they came home because there was a discrepancy with the price they were quoted, so we headed into town to do some shopping. Papa was looking for a new bike, and out of his shopping Rylee got a new swimming suit, I got some new running clothes, and Matt got a new long sleeve 3/4 zip Under Armour. After some shopping we headed back to Grandma and Papa's house, which Rylee called Hawaii. It was so cute she would say "I want to go back to Hawaii!" Not realizing that the entire island was Hawaii, she thought that the house was Hawaii. On the way back to the house Rylee had an emergency potty stop, and yes our little girl went potty on the side of the highway!! I have pictures, but I will spare you, if you really want them email me and I will send them to you! Once we got back to the house it was straight to the pool, and then some fun play time with Papa. Then it was time for afternoon golf and naps for the kids. I stayed home with the kids and they were so cute playing together before there naps, so I took a few pictures. After naps Rylee, Nolan and I loaded up and walked to the golf course because Rylee would not stop crying for Papa, so I told her we would go on a walk until we found him. We met up with them at the exit of the golf course and went straight back to the pool for some more fun.

Saturday and Sunday in Hawaii
Saturday was an early morning for us, we had to be at the airport by 6:30 to catch our flight to Hawaii. We went from here to Phoenix, and then onto Kona, Hawaii. The first flight was only 1 hour 10 minutes, and the kids were both great. We had a 2 1/2 hour layover in Phoenix, which was great to let Rylee run off some energy and tire out a bit. The flight to Kona was 6 1/2 hours and we were a little nervous about Nolan and we knew Rylee would be fine, but both of them were amazing. Nolan slept for 5 hours in Matt's arms while Rylee took a 2 1/2 hour nap, watched Jungle Book, ate some lunch, and played games with us. I was shocked at how great they were, and they even got lots of compliments for other passengers! Many of them were shocked when Matt stood up to get off the plane, they didn't even realize we had Nolan too, they just had seen Rylee going up the aisle to the bathroom! We were proud parents. Papa and Rylee immediately played blocks and monster and then headed to the swimming pool. We spent most the day just relaxing because we were pretty tired.
Sunday was a fun day. We went to Church in the morning and then headed home for some more pool time! Rylee would have lived in the pool if we would have let her! After some swimming and nap time we got ready to go out to dinner at Ruth's Chris for Mother's Day, lucky me!! We were dressed and ready and all Rylee wanted to do was get back in the pool, she kept staring down at it from the balcony above! Nolan went from sleeping with clothes and blankets on him the night we left, to being a naked sleeping baby.

Saying "Pool Please"!! Then just looking at the Pool

She smashed her finger and Papa made it all better

After dinner Rylee got to play in the water fountains in the shopping center, and she had a blast. The fountains became one of her new favorite spots in Hawaii.

A Few Vacation Pictures
We have had a fantastic vacation and we cannot believe that we head home tomorrow night! The best part about vacationing in Hawaii is that once we are here, we really don't have to go anywhere and Rylee is entertained! With Grandma and Grandpa's pool in the backyard and the big community pool straight across the street she has been in heaven! But it is not just the pools, building 100's of block towers with Papa, playing monster, going in the backyard and playing golf, and on Wednesday Bryson got here and these two have been inseperable every since, she doesn't need to leave a 100-foot bubble and she is entertained forever! Nolan has just been happy like always! Feed him, burp him, change him, let him wiggle and he is happy anywhere, he is such a good baby. These are just a few pictures from our vacation, many more to come once I am home and on our computer!

Vacation
We leave tomorrow morning to go to Hawaii and we are excited!! Rylee has been asking for three days straight, "Can I go to Hawaii now?" She is so excited to see Papa and Grandma and her cousins that are coming. She is still telling me that she is going to sleep with Papa at night time, so we are going to have to figure that one out when we get there because I don't think that will go over with Grandma! :) I will try to post a few times while we are gone, but if not I will get them up shortly after we get back.

Nolan Rolled Over
Nolan loves to sleep on his tummy and last night when I put him down I put him on his tummy like always, but when he woke up at 5:00 this morning he was on his back! I was so proud of him and so sad at the same time that he rolled over and I didn't even see it, but I'm sure he will do it again shortly! He was so happy when I picked him up out of his crib. He normally is on his tummy fussing a bit when I get in there, but today I went in and he was playing with his hands and smiling up at me! I cannot believe how big he is getting!

Rylee's Dentist Appointment and Pudding

On Wednesday Rylee and I woke up nice and early to go get her little teeth fixed. She was such a sweet girl that morning, she was hungry and thirsty but not allowed to eat or drink anything, and I explained that to her 4 times on the drive up, but she never cried or even whined! About 10 minutes after we left I realized I left her paperwork at home, so we turned around and Daddy met us at the exit with her papers! I cannot tell you how many times I thought about not forgetting those papers, but somehow I did, geez! When we got the dentist she was really excited. She checked herself in with the receptionist and pointed to me where we were going to wait. While waiting for the Anesthesiologist to get there and get set up she must have said 10 times, "Mommy, I get my teeth fixed now!" I would reassure her any minute it would be her turn, and we were the only ones there so it was hard for her to understand why she had to wait!
First thing they did was have her look at a box full of little presents for her to pick one out, hoping it would distract her from the shot she was about to get, but no it didn't. The Anesthesiologist wiped her arm off and she looked at him saw the needle and then lost it! The shot was what put her under, and she was probably out within a minute of getting it. When she was asleep the took her out of my arms and carried her back. They worked on her for a little over 90 minutes and then came and got me. Sadly they had to cap two of the molars that did not have enamel and then seal the other ones. Once she was awake we drove home to hang out with Grandma Kathi and Nolan the rest of the day.
On the drive she didn't really say anything, just kinda moaned from time to time while she was sleeping. I carried her inside the house and as soon as we walked in she saw Grandma giving Nolan a bottle and she said, "No-No, drink bottle all gone," and then fell back asleep. We just hung out most the of morning and afternoon. She was really frustrated her mouth was numb because she could not suck her thumb! She sat on the couch flipping her bottom lip for about 20 minutes with the most confused look on her face because she couldn't feel it.
She started to get hungry and asked for a banana, but even a banana hurt to chew, so Grandma went to the store to get some yogurt. While she was gone Rylee and I made chocolate pudding, and this was her first time ever having pudding, and she loved it!! She ate three bowls of pudding before Grandma got back and then ate two yogurts!! By the end of the day she was outside riding her scooter and playing with her friends!! She was such a trooper all day!

Water Fun
Yesterday was supposed to be rainy, but it ended up being beautiful. At the Gateway they have little water play area and when Rylee saw it she wanted to play, and I thought it was a great idea so off we went. Luckily when we got to the water there was one of my old players and her family, so they helped Rylee play. I do not know how much she would have played without them, but she had so much fun with them. The water is pretty chilly, but it did not seem to bother her. I think we will make this a favorite stop for the Summer!

Chocolate Chip Cookie

We had such a fun and busy day today. It started with my workout at the gym, then straight to lunch with our friends, and then off to shopping. We stopped at the mall first to pick up Cousin Bryson's birthday present, and then headed up to the Gateway to do some more shopping and browsing. We spent three hours shopping and running around! The kids were terrific, they got some new clothes, and for being such a good girl Rylee got a cookie. I was thinking I would get her some bite size cookies, but nope they only had big ones, so she got one. She ate the entire thing. I kept telling her that her would hurt if she ate the whole thing, but she did not listen. She told me once that her tummy hurt, but I think it was just because I said something.

Grandma Kathi

Grandma Kathi has been in town the last week and we have done lots of fun things with her. She babysat Rylee Thursday night at Aunt Karlie's house, we have gone shopping, she came to Church and helped me with my new calling yesterday, she came to both Nolan and Rye's My Gym classes today, and she is still here for a few more days. Mostly we have just enjoyed hanging out at the house with her and playing lots of games and reading books. She and Nolan have had a great time snuggling to sleep and doing tummy time together!

Sweet Rylee

Lately Rylee has had such a sweet demeanor. Yesterday while Nolan was taking his nap she checked on him probably ten times, and each time she would give his blanket a little rub and tell him she loved him. Don't worry she is still a normal toddler, she did shove his binky back in about 10 times too, just trying to help!!
Then she wanted to watch the Rangers game with Grandma Kathi, but instead of sitting next to her she went and stood right in front of the TV!
After watching a little baseball she wanted to watch Daddy do a little yard work. I told her she could if she sat on the stair right outside the front door, and she did for about 15 minutes. She sat and talked to Daddy as he was working and Daddy enjoyed his company!

Sleepy Boy

Sunday afternoon we were watching the Rangers/White Sox game and just chatting, when I looked down and Nolan had fallen asleep just laying on the couch. This is rare for Nolan, he is normally quite fussy right before he falls asleep, but this time he did not make a peep! Grandma Kathi and I got a smile at how sweet he looked with his little fingers crossed over his belly. Too bad he didn't sleep this peacefully all night!

"Nolan, Say Cheese!"

I was taking pictures of Nolan this afternoon, when I looked over at Rylee she was pulling her camera out too. She walked right up to the exersaucer, pointed the camera at Nolan and said, "Nowan, day cheese!" It was so cute. She stood there for a few minutes and took pictures of her brother. Oh and notice the big girl underpants, she has been potty trained for about two months, I just didn't want to say anything and jinx it!

Nolan in the Exer-Saucer

After Nolan's nap today, which was 5 hours, he had a great time playing in the exer-saucer. He had a fun time exploring, pushing all the buttons, and chewing on everything he could get in his mouth.

Testing Everything Out

As Nolan gets bigger we have to get new things out for him, and every time we do Rylee feels compelled to use them too. She has eaten most of her meals lately in the high chair, and then today she climbed in the exersaucer after we cleaned it together.
She has also fallen in love with juice boxes thanks to "My Gym." This year the gym is partnered with Motts, so each class we go to Rye gets two juice boxes. We are still working on not squeezing the boxes and making a mess, but today she had 2 with no messes!
