First Halloween

Rylee had fun on her first Halloween. We played at home, went shopping, and went trick-or-treating at the mall and I think the mall wore her out! After that she came home and helped me pass out Halloween candy, then we went over to our friends house and played even more. I think we had the cutest pea-pod in the world. - k

Pumpkin Patch

Rylee went to her first pumpkin patch today, I think she will have more fun at it next year but we got some cute pictures of her. It was really cold so we didn't spend much time, but it was fun for me. - k

Oops... Could someone help me out?

Rylee fell asleep in her swing and slowly her hair bow started to attack! It did not seem to bother her too much, but just in case it did it was moved quickly. - K

Visit from Cousin Jayden

Cousin Jayden came down to visit and check on Rylee to make sure she was feeling better. He sure is growing and moving fast, I need to enjoy the stationary Rylee while I can. We went to lunch with Cousin Jayden and the entire time we were there he held his arms up in the air, it was really funny. Then he tried on his lion costume, so we put Rylee's Pea-Pod costume on and had a little photo shoot. Rylee had lots of fun checking out all the things Cousin Jayden could do and she cannot wait to play with him again at Thanksgiving with Cousin Megan too! - K

Anne Geddes Baby

I think the picture speaks for itself, she is just adorable, but I am biased. - K

Thanks Grandma

Rylee has felt much better and since Grandma has come into town, wow babies will sure do anything to get their Grandma's to visit...next time Rylee just needs to ask, three days in the hospital was a bit extreme! But, Rylee and Grandma have played so hard since Grandma got here, and Grandma has helped Matt and I catch up on some much needed sleep. :) - K

My New Toy

Grandma and I were out shopping and picked Rylee up a new toy that her little hands could hold on to. We think she likes it, what do you think? - K

Sick Baby

As most of you know Rye has had a rough week. Sunday she was acting so fussy and I was thinking to myself she is being such a pill. By Monday if you moved her she got very upset with you and screamed. While I was at soccer her very nice baby sitter (a veteran mother) took her temperature, which turned out to be close to 103. Wow, did I feel like a bad mom. So, we took her in to the hospital and after 2 days in the hospital with GREAT nurses and doctors she is home and doing great. She is still a bit tired from a rough couple of days, but the smiles are back. Here are a few pictures from the hospital. They are from matt's phone so they are a bit dark. But, since Rylee has been so sick Grandma is coming for a visit, so we are all very excited. -- k

Sleepy

Matt and I just got a kick out of this and thought you might too. She had not napped all day and was just exhausted, but every time we put her down she would cry, so Matt came up with a plan. He put two pillows together and rested her down in the crack between them, so she would feel snuggled. It seems to be working, what do you think? The one eye cracked is just how we sleep, kinda creepy if you ask me! -- K

Baking Cookies

Rylee and I had a fun day the other day baking some yummy cookies, pumpkin chocolate chip (if you want the recipe just call.) She sat in her chair and just talked to me and checked out the cookies the whole time I was making them. -- K

Bundled Baby

Poor Rylee does not know what to do with this cold weather. It went from 80's one week to snow covered mountains this week. I had to go shopping the other day in search of beanies so Rye Rye did not freeze to death. The cute beanie in this picture is from Uncle Jason! Hopefully it warms back up, Rylee and I are not quite ready for the snow. -- K

Uncle Jason

Uncle Jason came in town to visit this weekend to help Matt paint, but he has also taken some time to play with Rylee. Rylee had a great time smiling at Uncle Jason and I think Uncle Jason enjoyed himself too. -- K

Halftime

Since it is freezing here in Utah already, we had to stay inside and play during halftime. She was so cute I thought I would share some pictures with you. If you can't tell she is wearing a turtle neck, it is only 52 degrees right now!

Watching the Game

I left Rylee on the ottoman (something I probably can't do much longer) and went into the kitchen to get some lunch, when I looked over she was staring at the TV watching Notre Dame vs. Michigan. That's our little sports fan! -- K
